It consists of a variety of attractions including many old clothing shops, restaurants, live houses (Japanese live music clubs) and historical temples. Koenji is considered a fusion town which has both traditional and young culture. This town has 14 local shopping streets, so you will experience local life and culture which will be an enjoyable adventure. Koenji is also famous for “Awa-odori (The Dance of Fools)”, one million people visit for “Awa-odori festival” in summer every year.
